Fortress of Largoët

ELVEN

    Site et monument historique
15 minutes from Vannes, the highest octagonal keep in France (14th century): the colossal dimensions of the keep, the magnificent ornamental stones, the numerous comfort elements make it a marvel of medieval military architecture.
Rising in the middle of woods and foliage, the monumental ruins of the keep (14th century) and the majestic round tower (15th century) are reflected peacefully in the pond which borders them.
Residence of the Lords of Largoët, the fortress was inhabited in the 15th century by Marshal Jean IV de Rieux, guardian of the Duchess Anne of Brittany, future Queen of France.
A famous prisoner was locked in the fortress in 1474: the Earl of Richmond, future King Henry VII of England.
    Game proposal with 12 puzzles.
Open from March 15 to All Saints' Day, according to the terms and conditions appearing on the site.
