The Gulf of Morbihan is the main production area in Southern Brittany and is home to more than sixty farms. Surrounding the Rhuys peninsula, the two maritime slopes of the tongue of land (Gulf of Morbihan and Atlantic Ocean) provide multiple sites adapted to oyster farming. With courage and humility, women and men have been able to understand them, listen to them and tame them to make shellfish farming one of the flagship activities of the Gulf.
