And now it has one! By stepping through the doors of Ostréapolis, you will discover this shell and its environment like never before, thanks to an interpretation centre dedicated to oyster farming and seafood products. More than just a discovery, an immersive, fun, and interactive experience awaits you. Its terroir, the expertise of the people who cultivate it, its life cycle, its role as an environmental sentinel, its 1001 uses... We promise, you'll be full of surprises! Throughout the 200 m² permanent exhibition, you can touch, observe, scrutinize, follow the oyster's journey from the larval stage to spat, steer a barge amidst the oyster beds, handle oyster bags, learn to read the label of an oyster basket (bourriche)... and even learn how to open an oyster! In addition to the permanent exhibition, temporary exhibitions invite you to discover other themes related to the maritime world. In the heart of a teaching kitchen, inspiring encounters with chefs await you during cooking workshops that will tantalize your taste buds. Ostréapolis also has a laboratory equipped with magnifying glasses and microscopes to offer you a dive into the infinitely small world of our oceans. Thrills guaranteed for all ages!
