Dolmen du Helfaut

This passage grave is located in the middle of Helfaut Woods, once the domain of the lord living in the Château de Helfau (or Uelfaut), which is now destroyed.

Now severely damaged, this monument could easily be mistaken for a natural cluster of stones. However, archaeologists have clearly identified the remains of a passage grave, of which only three vertical stones and a stone slab remain. If you look at the relief around it, you can guess that a tumulus of some 5 m in diameter was built over this neolithic sepulture.
